Peter’s Purple is a natural hybrid cross of two southern Monarda species that blooms in mid-summer with showy lavender-purple flowers. The glossy foliage is mildew resistant. This variety is moderately xeric once established. Drought resistant/drought tolerant plant (xeric).

A garden hybrid between Monarda bartlettii and Monarda fistulosa, this vigorous, heat lover blooms for months in summer with showy lavender-purple flowers. The deep green foliage is completely powdery mildew resistant, making it a “must have” hummingbird plant for all areas of the US.
